The canal towpath running through the town is an underrated one, flat, easy for little legs, ducks to feed, and it naturally turns into a “let’s walk to the next bridge” game without you even trying.
Tring Park, just a short drive away, is another great option for easy trails and sweeping views, particularly good for slightly younger children who need shorter legs-friendly paths.

Mead Open Farm (Leighton Buzzard) combines animals, indoor play and seasonal activities, a good middle-ground day out that doesn’t need a full day of driving to reach.
